He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Oveal and Frances Joann Babington Hipp. He is survived by: his sons, Joshua Hipp of Fountain Inn, SC and Tyler Hipp of Jonesboro; his granddaughter Kaylynn Hipp; his brother Daniel Hipp (Becky) of Ellijay; and his nieces, Abigail, Ashlyn and Alexis Hipp.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Patriot Guard Rider of Georgia, Inc., P.O. Box 2025, Toccoa, GA 30577.
