He is survived by: his siblings, Ferda Mae Bates and Howard Thomas Stanley (Tuc); his wife Donna M. Stanley (Scheppelmann); his children, Cheryl Lynn Corey (Les), Robin M. Stanley, Denise L. S. Eckley (Robert) and James E. Stanley (Cheryl Rae); and his grandchildren, Nikki M. Davis, Justin J. Corey, Damian P. Tucker, Jennarae E. Roman, Everie A. Stanley and Caleb E. V. Eckley. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
