He was predeceased by: his siblings, Gertrude Hensley, Delrey Ridley, Janett Jones, Robert, Freddie, Garmon and Royal Baggett.

He is survived by: his daughter Debra Bruner; his son-in-law Richard Bruner of Lafayette; his son David J. Baggett of Chatsworth; and his grandchildren, Marty Davis, Jeremy Davis, Bridget Davis and Nathan Baggett. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
