She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Davis and Vivian Hawkins Davis of Summerville, Georgia.. She is survived by: her husband Lloyd Robert Mewbourne, Jr.; her daughters, Melanie Garland (Geoffrey) and Sandy Jowers; her grandchildren, Courtlyn, James, Beau and Victoria; and her siblings, Mary Adams and Johnny Davis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Columbus Hospice, in honor of the comfort and assurance that they brought to Kathy and her loved ones in her final hours.
