He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Barrett Ellis and Johnny Faye Hargett Ellis; and his brother Robert Barrett "Barry" Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Tinia Ellis of Hamilton, GA; his children, Charles Ellis (Samantha) of Columbus, GA and Laura Ellis Williams (Mike) of Smiths Station, AL; his grandchildren, Matthew Ellis, Nathan Ellis, Ephraim Ellis, Elizabeth Williams Cowhick (Dylan), Garrett Williams and Ashlyn Williams; his great grandchild Kerrington Grace Cowhick; and his siblings, Dale Ellis, Roslyn McMath, Jane Williams and Susan Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
