He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Handy and Essie Parker; and his son Earl M. Handy Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Kendall Handy (Janet), Earlene D. Handy and Sherri Lynn Handy; and his brothers, Harry D. Handy and William "Billy" Handy. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
