He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Lucas and Bertha Lucas (Davis); his siblings, Mattie Bell Copeland, Earlenia Lucas Pierce, Lewis Lucas, Willie Lee Lucas, Arthur Lucas and Johnny Lucas; and his nieces and nephews, Alma Pierce Neal, Bertha Denise Pierce, Morris Pierce and Milton Pierce.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Jean Lucas; his daughter Edith Lucas; his granddaughters, Keshia Thomas and Mikalla Thomas; his great grandchildren, Kinston Blunt and Eden Thomas Goode; his sisters, Geneva Soloman and Rebecca Copeland; his niece Bernida D. Pierce; his great-niece D'Andrea Pierce; his great-nephews, Dwyane S. Pierce, Derrick Heard, Raymond Hollis Jr. and Terrance Hollis; and also, Jamaria D. Kirkpatrick and Kinsley N. Hollis.
