He was predeceased by: his parent Ulmer L. Cowart; his son Ronald Gerald Cowart, Jr. (Ronnie); his parent Jewell Thompson Cowart; his siblings, Rhudolph C. (Robbie Ray Cowart), Aubrey L. Cowart (Kenneth U. Cowart) and Mary Helen Cowart Flynt (Richard Flynt); and his parents-in-law, Gladys Kelley Taylor and Thomas Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Beth Hayes Cowart; his son Thomas Ulmer Cowart (Tommy); his great-nephew Reed King; his sister Gwen Cowart Couch; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Couch, Donald Hayes, Robert and Julie Taylor. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic and the protection of those involved a register book will be provided to sign and a time to honor Ronald will take place between eleven a. m. and one thirty p. m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the New Friendship Primitive Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, 9495 Coffee Road, Hahira, GA 31632.
