With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Cheek Dunmon of Hahira, Georgia, born in Americus, Georgia, who passed away on December 29, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Cheek and Mary Cheek; and her husband Charles Harold "Hal" Dunmon. She is survived by: her children, Charles H. Dunmon, Jr. (Suzie) and Dana Dunmon Hernandez (Richard); and her grandchildren, Dillon Hernandez, Kaleigh Hernandez, Charlie Dunmon and Danielle Dunmon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dunmon loved flowers, and the family welcomes them, but for those wishing to do so, memorial contributions are suggested to Shiloh Baptist Church, 961 Shiloh Road, Americus, GA 31719.
