It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Ella Parten of Hahira, Georgia, born in Grimsby, Yorkshire and the Humber, who passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry J. Wood and Isabella Wood (Germany); and her siblings, Harry Wood, Fred Wood, Stanley Wood, Charles Wood, Eleanor Ferrand, Mona Murphy, Thora Creer and Edith Riley.
She is survived by: her husband Aaron Parten of Hahira, GA; her daughters, Eleanor Parten of Hahira, GA and Karen Gunter of Hahira, GA; her grandson Matthew Barnes of Decatur, GA; and her sisters, Hazel Richardson of Grimsby, Isa Britteon of Humberston and England. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
