He is survived by: his wife Harriett Bookhart Carter; his son Lewis Carter (Starlene) of Miramar, Florida; his grandchildren, William Craig Belchie (Diane) of Atlanta, Georgia, Sophia Carter of Lauderhill and Tammy Carter Eubanks (Wayne) of Miami, Florida; and his great grandchildren, William Mark Belchie of Atlanta, Georgia of Miami, Daniel of Miami and Lenay Carter of Miami.
