He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Eugene Gunnels, Sr. and Louelle George Gunnels; and his brother Everette Wesley Gunnels. He is survived by: his daughter Kayren Lynn Gunnels of Atlanta, Georgia; and his cousins, Patricia and Earl Mullis of Enigma, Georgia. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
