Though Gene has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Osborn and Willie Mae T. Strickland; and his daughter Tina Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Mary Strickland of Claxton; his sons, Marty Strickland (Kay) of Franklin, NC., Olan Strickland (Rose Ann) of Graceville and Eric Strickland (Lisa) of Cumberland Gap, TN.; and his siblings, Edward Strickland (Carley), Preston Strickland (Ruby) and Doris Reed (Dick). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
