She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Elrod and Carrie Mae George Elrod; her husband Dwaine Mealer; and her sisters, Wilma Elrod and Teresa Elrod.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Hayes of Toccoa and Shane; her daughter-in-law Jodi Rogers of Toccoa; her grandchildren, Zac Palmer, Jake Palmer, Keith Smith, Rheonna Hayes, Isaac Hayes, Ivory Hayes, Mckenzie Rogers, Madison Rogers and Makayla Rogers; her great grandchildren, Abbie Palmer and Allie Palmer; and her siblings, Aaron Elrod, Larry Bowen (Toccoa), Charles Bowen of Elberton, Judy Carruth of Elberton, Helen White of Easley and Diane George of Easley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
