She was predeceased by: her father E. L. Fountain; and her husband Clifford Sylvester. She is survived by: her sons, Gerald English (Karen), Glenn English (Debra) and Billy Ray Sylvester; her grandchildren, Felicia English, Ashley English and Clifford Sylvester; and her brothers, Eddie Fountain and Jerry Fountain (Jean). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
