He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris C. Joyner and Laurie Lee Joyner; his wife Jeanne Joyner; and his brother Cheyenne Joyner. He is survived by: his children, Terry Joyner, Jimmy V. Joyner, Donna Harmon, Joseph B. Watson, III and Sherri Mast; his grandchildren, Jessica Waldhour, Michael Collins and Christopher Harmon; his great grandchildren, Andrew Collins, Emory Clark, Sylar Ambrose and Lucas Collins; and his sister Louise Cain Lain (Nolan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel (2460 GA-21, Rincon, GA 31326). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
