It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary B. Helmey of Guyton, Georgia, born in Claxton, Georgia, who passed away on November 22, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary B. Helmey to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her son George Edward Helmey, Jr.; and her parents, Rufus Rogers and Lessie V. Rewis Rogers. She is survived by: her husband Edward George Helmey, Sr.; her daughter Tammy Dickerson (Paul); her daughter-in-law Pam Helmey; her great grandchildren, George Colton Helmey, Milo Edward Perdue, Easton Brooks Helmey, Wilder Steele Perdue, Aniston Gray Helmey and Elouise Catherine Dickerson; and her siblings, Bearnease Smith and Coy Rogers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery (1336 Dean Forest Rd, Garden City, GA 31405).
