She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Miller and Ruth Durden (Griffin); her daughter Carolyn Cauthen; her grandparents, Jessie, Sarah Miller, James and Laura Griffin; her sisters, Bernice Middleton and Rebecca Robinson; and her grandsons, James "Thomas" Cauthen, Eskederra Butler and Wendell Dempsey.
She is survived by: her husband Bishop Willie R Butler; her children, Joyce Green (Ceasar), Vivian Butler, Willieann Hill, Elizabeth Butler, Bernice Butler– Williams, Ruth Butler-Alexander (Robert), Jeannine Butler, Shamua Butler, Bobby Butler, Sr. (Gracie), Billy Butler (Angela) and John Roberts; and her sisters-in-law, Linder Williams, Carolette Williams, Agnes Williams and Carolyn Brown. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
