He is survived by: his wife Pam Helmey (Steese); his daughter Jina Perdue (Jay); his grandsons, Milo and Wilder of Richmond Hill; his son Chris Helmey (Anna); his grandchildren, Colton, Easton and Aniston of Guyton, GA; his parents, Eddie Helmey and Mary Helmey of Guyton; his sister Tammy Dickerson (Paul); his nephews, Kameron (Ali) and Kollin of Guyton, GA; his mother-in-law Betty Steese of Springfield, GA; his brother-in-law David Steese (Georgiana); his niece Hannah Hayes (Tyler); his great-nieces, Summer and Lacey; his nephew Nicholas Steese of Springfield, GA.; and his pets, Max and Pedro.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Effingham County Animal Shelter.
