He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Johnson Dean; his son Johnny R. Dean; his parents, Tonie S. Dean and Mary E. Dean; his brother Donald Dean; his brothers-in-law, Dan Johnson, Watts Johnson and Charles Marble; his nephews, Nicholas Marble and Carl Ray Furr Jr.; and his sister-in-law Jane Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Jerry Dean; his grandchildren, Lanina Dodson (Jonathon), Christina Daniels (Dontrel), Jeri Ann Beckworth (Corey), Sara Barry (Allen), Thomas Dean (Kimberly) and Kevin Dean (Erika); and his siblings-in-law, Robert Johnson (Marcy), Gail Furr (Carl Ray), Gloria Marble (Charles), Mary Cowen (Gerald) and Billie Sheppard (Ken). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
