We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2023, at the age of 93, Charles Frank Maxey (Grovetown, Georgia), born in Chickamauga, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Maxey and Effie Maxey; his wife Mary Scoggins Maxey; and his stepson-in-law Jerry Pryor. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Maxey and David Maxey; his stepchildren, Deborah Nichols Tabor (Donald), Donna Nichols Pryor and Daniel Wesley Nichols (Rose Warner); his stepgrandchildren, Bonnie Alexander, Shelby Mullinax (Phil), Amy Chase (Steve), Wesley Looper, Bradley Nichols (Kathryn), Richard Nichols and Cody Nichols; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Courtnie, Mary Kayte, Caroline, Maddy, Meredith, Morgan, Savannah, Abigail, Hudson, Colin, Corbin and Lorelei; and his great great grandchildren, Leevigh, Dean and Gabriel.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Charles' honor be made to the Shriner's Children's hospital.
