He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Brinson and Hettie Blanton Brinson; and his sisters, Barbara Jackson and Betty Carolyn Brinson. He is survived by: his wife Ann Walker Brinson; his children, Charles E. Brinson, Jr. (Cathy) and B. R. Smith (Scott); his grandchildren, Rebecca Crawford, James Smith, Joseph Smith, Mitchell Brinson and Macy Brinson Bennett (Gavin); and his great grandchildren, Cash Crawford and Brody James Bennett.
