He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Powell and Lucille Sutherland Powell; and his siblings, Mary Arnold and Cleve "Man" Powell. He is survived by: his wife Karon Powell; his sons, John Powell (Melissa) of Thomson and Duane Powell of Norwood; his grandchildren, Megan Loveday (Bryan), Nicole Powell, Allen Powell, Jackson Powell, Savannah Powell, Cody Cowart, Cole Cowart, Meghann Pentecost, Jackson Pentecost and Markell Hobbs; and his siblings, David Powell (Linda) of McBean, Doug Powell of Waynesboro and Margaret Corley of Hephzibah. He is also survived by 13 Great-grandchildren.
