It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Garrett Evans Sr. in Griffin, Georgia, who passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cullen Evans, Jr. and Adele Garrett; and his brother Robert Terrell Evans. He is survived by: his sons, Wayne Evans, Jr. (Sandy) and John Robert Evans (Amanda); and his grandchildren, Cullen, Kinsey Frix (Tyler), Hannah Owen (Justin), Hunter and Haylee.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mowell Funeral Home and Cremation Service - Fayetteville (180 N Jeff Davis Dr, Fayetteville, GA 30214). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers make a donation to the Harps's Crossing Baptist Church expansion fund.
