With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shawn West of Griffin, Georgia, born in Kearney, Nebraska, who passed away on November 28, 2024 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Shawn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her father Stoney Ray Nelson. She is survived by: her mother Marlene Ann Nelson (Rob); her brothers, Chad Nelson (Diane) and Kevin Nelson; and her close friends, Jack, Jill and Finn.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Eternal Hope Hospice. 123 N. 18th Street, Griffin, GA 30223, in memory of Shawn.
