She was predeceased by: her parents, John Curtis "JC" Smith and Margaret Ann Lindsey Smith (Samuel Franklin Cooley); and her son-in-law Robby Stephens. She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Whitehurst (Mike), David Cooley (Regina), Cindy Ramsey (Rickie) and Pallie Schmalz (Edward). She is also survived by 8 grandsons; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
