Ruth Elsie Coder Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Elsie Coder (Griffin, Georgia), who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hostad and Borghilde Hostad (Helgesen); her husband Jay Coder; and her siblings, Alfrieda Janot, Borghilde Ruilmann, Mildred Bell, Ingrid Haas, Dorothy Trieber and Edwin Hostad.
She is survived by: her sons, Reverend Jay Edward Coder, Jr. (Carol) and John Charles Coder; her grandchildren, Reverend Jon Coder (Tiffany), Amanda Coder Durski (Tim) and Catherine Coder; and her great grandchildren, Chelsea Coder and Jayden Coder. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
