He is survived by: his wife Eva Schmidler of Griffin, GA; his son Martin Schmidler; his daughter-in-law Maggie Schmidler (Julie Schmidler) of Smyrna, GA; and his granddaughter Katerina Olivia Schmidler of Mt. Pleasant, SC..
