He was predeceased by: his parents, George Rowland and Ocie Key Rowland; and his son Scott Rowland. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Kimbrel Rowland; his sisters, Nadine Rowland and Georgia Mae Broach; his children, Amy Rentz of Hazelhurst, GA, Bonita Abernathy (VA), Regina Abbott of Eatonton, GA, Mark David Rowland (VA) and Paul Padgett of Jackson, GA; his brother Peyton; his sister-in-law Edith Rowland of Hazelhurst, GA; and his sisters, Carolyn Herndon of Hazelhurst, GA and Colleen Ringle of Augusta, GA. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mark's honor be made to Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, GA.
