He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Dale Anderson Harris (Stepfather) and Chester B Scott; his brother Charles Scott; and his granddaughter Lily Gunter. He is survived by: his wife Jean Scott; his daughters, Donna Cantlay and Sky Gunter; his grandchildren, Kaimen, Tanner, Abigail, Kierra and Adalyn; his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Gunter, Laurel and Preston Slagle; his sister Peggy Bonner (Charles); and his nieces and nephews, Hugh Stansell, Craig Scott, Chuck Bonner, Regina Langston and Tracey Bonner.

In Jimmy's memory in lieu of flowers donations to his grandchildren may be made to Jean Scott, PO Box 1351 Zebulon, GA 30295.
