She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah Payne and Alma Payne; her siblings, Barbara Payne Morris, Jerry Payne and Tommy Payne; and her nephew Todd Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Rick Prater; her sons, Mark Prater and Nick Prater; her grandchildren, Paisley Prater and Palmer Prater; her sister Phyllis Smith; and her niece Denise (Jeff Hodges).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rock Springs Church (219 Rock Springs Rd, Milner, GA 30224). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
