With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Heaton Goodson of Griffin, Georgia, born in Oklawaha, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2024 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her husband Wendall E. Goodson; her parents, Waymon P. Heaton and Evelyn Heaton Bennett (Ben J. Bennett, Sr.); and her siblings, Pauline H. Laster, Sue H. Cooper, Mayomie B. Vickers, Dorothy B. Rogers, Estelle B. Middlebrooks, Waymon Heaton, Jr., B. J. Bennett, Jr., James Bennett and Johnny Bennett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lori (Randy Kent) and Lynn (Eric Pitts); her grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenny Kent, Jason, Marie Kent, Emily Pitts, Megan Pitts and Madison Pitts; her great grandchildren, Kaylee Kent, Brian Kent, Kaleb Kent and Michael Kent; her siblings, Elsie B. Hately, Inez B. Brittian, Donna B. Tidwell, Frank Bennett and Peggy Townsend; and her pet Charlie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
