She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Hillhouse and Myrtle Haygood Hillhouse; her husband Mack T. Dempsey; and her siblings, Sarah Carson, Lena Blalock, Jean Chapman, Clarence Hillhouse and Viola Guinn.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Nix and Kenneth Dempsey; her grandsons, Steven Hardy, Austin Dempsey, Bryce Dempsey and Mitchell Hardy, Jr.; her great grandchild Peyton Hardy; and her sisters, Betty Hillhouse and Shirley Coker. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (797 Memorial Dr, Griffin, GA 30223).
