He was predeceased by: his parents, Webster Bassett Sr. and Maggie Ruth Bassett (Abner); his son Michael Bassett; his sister Jeanette Gabriel; and his nieces, Brenda Williams and Jeanne Grant.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bassett (Allison); his children, Darryl Bassett (Tiffany), Rodney Bassett (Tammy) and Pam Bassett; his grandchildren, Dillon Bassett, Morgan Bassett, Samantha Bassett, Landon Bassett and Remington Bassett; his great grandchildren, Georgia, Keegan, Delilah and Anthony Bassett; and his siblings, Lenward Bassett (Lena) and Loretta Bradshaw.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home (10170 US-19, Zebulon, GA 30295). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
