He was predeceased by: his parents, George Nelson Neal, Sr. and Melba Sanders Neal; his son-in-law Tommy Bairentine; his grandsons, Korey Latham Hicks and Dewayne Black; and his sister Cindy Neal Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Neal of Greenville; his children, Melodie Hicks (Chris Hicks) of Manchester, April Bairentine of Greenville and Michael Neal (Ashley Neal) of Hogansville; his grandchildren, Hope Black, Timothy Neal, Charity Fowler, Kirstie Neal, Autumn Webster, Faith Neal, Tyler Neal, Trenton Bairentine, Alyssa Neal and Izabelle Neal; his brothers, George Nelson Neal, Jr. (Becky Neal) of Dacula and Mark Neal of Greenville; and his close friend Robert T. Ross (Rhonda Ross) of Milner. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, it is the desire of the family that memorial contributions be made to Hogansville Church of God.
