It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilson Taylor Phelps of Greensboro, Georgia, who passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Thrasher Phelps and Gracie Oaks Phelps; and his siblings, Winthrop Phelps, Luther Phelps, Harold Phelps, Bell Booth, Vivian Thurmond, Wilivada Tool, Milida Thurmond, Evelyn Appling, Evona Copeland and Barbara Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Phelps of Greensboro, GA.; his children, Terry Cox of Moultrie, GA, Janet Head of Greensboro, GA, Charmion Phelps (Roger) of Greenwood, SC and Wilson Taylor Phelps II (Lynda); and his grandchildren, Star Fallen, Ashley Edwards, Thomas (Chris), Beth Schmitz (Billy), Brittany Moore (Justin), Teresa Corbitt (Josh), Victoria Raliford (John), Nathaniel Russell, Justin Head, Brian Phelps, Jonathan Russell and Bradley Phelps. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (203 S Main St, Greensboro, GA 30642). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
