He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lee and Alma Jo Collins Duvall; his wife Barbara Saxon Duvall of Greensboro, GA.; his son William Lewis Duvall, Jr.; and his siblings, Talmadge "Tal" Duvall and Jane Duvall Walton.
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Lee Duvall Thornton (Ed) of Greensboro, GA; his grandsons, Clayton Edward Thornton (Lyndsey) of Boone, NC and Ethan Lewis Thornton (Erin) of Chatsworth, GA; his great grandchildren, Daniel James Thornton and Marvin Lewis Thornton; and his brother Melvin Duvall (Frances) of Greensboro, GA. He is also survived by many other relatives and numerous friends.
