With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Marie Porter of Greensboro, Georgia, born in Decatur, Georgia, who passed away on March 1, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Yarbrough and Ruth Norton Yarbrough. She is survived by: her husband Louie Thomas Porter (Tom); her daughters, Beth Mitchell (Billy) of Rutledge, GA and Ellen Koerner (Nathan) of Braselton, GA; her siblings, David Yarbrough (Suzanne) of Powder Springs and Catherine Carter (Tom) of Roanoke, VA; her grandchildren, Sam, Will, Matt, Emma Grace, Tom, BethAnne, Mary Kaitlyn, Lauren Taylor and Jack Mitchell; her siblings, Brendan, Grayson and Addison Koerner; and her nieces, Elizabeth Rodger (Yarbrough), Lauren Yarbrough and Julia Carter.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Lake Oconee Presbyterian Church, 113 Scott Road, Eatonton, GA 31024.
