He was predeceased by: his parents, William Archibald Simpson and Mary Emaline Carter Simpson; his wife Jonel Simpson; his stepmother Annabell P. Simpson; his siblings, Shirley Finch, Mary Corry, James Simpson and Archie Simpson; and his granddaughter Alicia Simpson.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Jackson (Stan) of Murfreesboro, TN, Dixie Webb (Mike) of Greensboro, GA, Penny Davenport (Gary) of Union Point, GA and David Simpson (Sandy) of Greensboro, GA; his stepchildren, Joey Fleming (Marcelle) of Greensboro, GA and Jana Fleming Roper (David) of Aiken, SC; and his siblings, Inez Hunt (John) of Covington, GA, Louise Berrong of Danielsville, GA and Alex Simpson of Greensboro, GA. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and very good friends.
