He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruth Kent Underwood; his daughters, Gwendolyn Underwood Steele of Burleson, Texas, Linda Underwood Mosely of St. Simon's Island, Georgia and Joy Underwood Carlson of Granville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Taryn Goulding of Alvarado, Texas, Todd Barnett of Asheville, Christopher Carlson and Nathaniel Carlson of Granville; and his great grandchildren, Kyler, Mandy Goulding of Alvarado, Texas, Coral and Teo Barnett of Asheville. He was also cherished by birds, and the company of his wife and brothers.
