She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvanus Landrum Atkinson and Viola Dolvin Atkinson; her husband Harvey Higdon; and her sister Hilda Glass. She is survived by: her son Tim Higdon of Greensboro, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
