He is survived by: his wife Julie Elder of Greensboro, GA; his children, Katy Elder of Atlanta, GA and Kip Elder (Amee) of Orlando, FL; his brothers, Jim Elder (Ann) of Brandon, FL and Bill Elder (Daryl) of Scottsdale, AZ; and his brother-in-law Dr. Kirby Bland (Lynn) of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorials be made in Jack's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
