He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis Copeland, Sr. and Evelyn Amerson Copeland; and his siblings, Shirley Ann Whitfield, John Curtis Copeland, Jr., Cecil Copeland and Kenneth Franklin Copeland.
He is survived by: his wife Germaine Copeland of Greensboro, GA; his children, David Wayne Copeland, Donna Renee'Houser (Kevin), Teresa Dawn Bone and Patricia Lynn; his brother William Stanley Copeland (Deborah); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Joe, Rachel, Leah, Martha Jean, Christopher, Chandler Grace, Griffin, Emma Beam, Katherine and Luke.
