He was predeceased by: his mothers, Lillian Howard "Tig" Moon and Blanche Ogletree Moon; his wife Florence Irene Nash Moon; and his brothers, Lennie Moon and Larry Moon.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Kay Moon Byce (Billy) of Greensboro and Thomas Fred Moon (Donna) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Bill Byce (Brandi) of Thomasville and Brook Moon Pietrantone (Joseph) of Georgetown, Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Braelyn Nicole Byce of Thomasville, Hannah Kate Byce of Thomasville, Madison Emory Byce of Thomasville, Avery Grace Byce of Thomasville and Madelyn Grace Pietrantone of Georgetown, Tennessee.; his sisters, Nita Meadows of Union Point, Patricia Adams of Greensboro and Dean Mansfield of Washington; and his sisters-in-law, Ellie Nash of Madison, Emma Nash of Greensboro and Sherrie Moon of Locust Grove, Georgia.. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and very good friends.
