Viola Elizabeth Heard Russell Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 23, 2025, at the age of 82, Viola Elizabeth Heard Russell of Graysville, Georgia, born in Dunlap, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Viola Elizabeth Heard may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Viola Elizabeth Heard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Cecil Russell; her parents, Orville Heard and Virginia Hixson Heard; and her sister Margaret Ann Brackett. She is survived by: her son Timothy Russell; her brother James Franklin Heard; and her grandchildren, Charles Cecil Russell, Moses Orville Guerrini and Harley Ormano Guerrini. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Graysville Cemetery.
