He was predeceased by: his parents, John V. Almeida and Gladys S. Almeida; and his sister Dorothy A. Miller. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Almeida of Grayson; his son Richard D. Almeida of Atlanta; and his brother Fred Almeida of Kennewick, WA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, 18900 Jefferson Davis Highway, Triangle, VA 22172.
