He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Langley and Frances Jackson Langley; his stepmother Bessie Coleman Langley; his former wife Leona Taylor Langley; his wife Evelyn Beck Langley; and his brother Michael Langley.
He is survived by: his children, Pat Terrance Langley of Suffolk, VA, Robert Edward Sr. (Debbie Langley), Peggy Langley Brown (Ron Brown) and Starr Langley Conaway (Bob Conaway); and his sister Alta Langley Shoemaker of Atlanta. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
