Anthony Vitolo Obituary
VITOLO - Anthony (Tony) August Vitolo, age 76, of Grayson, GA passed away Monday, June 1, 2020. The family will hold a service in his honor at a later date. He was born on August 4, 1943 in Bronx, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Ida Vitolo of Snellville, GA. He is survived by his children, Anthony Vitolo and his wife Judy Vitolo, of Pinedale, WY; Susan Manning and her husband Matt Manning of Valrico, FL; daughter Cassie Alexander and her husband Fontaine Alexander of Atlanta, GA; son Andrew Vitolo of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico; grandchildren, Crystal Flinner, Shawn Friend, Madison Friend, Faith Friend, Blake Manning, Brooke Manning, Charlie Secor, Taylor Secor, Austin Manning; great grandchild, Mark Flinner; sister, Joanne Vitolo of Snellville, GA; sisters-in-law, Rieda and her husband Carl Goss of Union Grove, AL, Nancy Hollingsworth Morgan of MS; three nieces and three nephews, and a host of great nieces and nephews; longtime girlfriend, Virginia Tinkler.
Tony attended Bayside High School, in Bayside, NY and graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan, NY. In the 1960's, he was a senior Engineer at Boeing in Huntsville, AL where he worked at NASA on the lunar rover for the Apollo program. He was the President of Engineered Systems for 35 years. Tony's life was devoted to his family and large circle of friends.
He loved gardening, travel, cooking, spending time at the beach, fishing, and antique cars. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle and loyal friend to all who knew him.
