He was predeceased by: his father William Hamby; his son Jeffery Davis; his siblings, Margaret, Nellene, Liz, Katherine of Jimmie Lou, V. C., Bill and Bud; and his close friend Lucy.
He is survived by: his wife Shelby Bryant Davis of Gray; his daughter Cara Davis Bockholt (Dan) of Gray; and his grandsons, Ethan Bockholt and Drew Bockholt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.
