He was predeceased by: his parents, Winford Alonzo and Freddie Smith Slaton; and his brothers, Kenneth and Ricky Perkey. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Slaton; his daughter Michelle Slaton; his grandchild I'yanna Parks; his daughter Kristine Jacobs (Jake); his grandchildren, Anslee and Connor; his stepson James Stacy Kittle II (Melissa); his stepgrandchildren, J. J. and Miles; his stepson Jeb S. Kittle (Felicia); and his stepgrandchildren, Wesley, Jovie, Sean and Johnathon Cutcher.
